Yes. We have a large car park that customers are welcome to leave their vehicles in. Just turn left before the trees.

What age do I have to be to hire?

Drivers between the age of 21 and 24 need to have held a full licence for the last 2 years and are unable to drive either the minibus or MPV.  Drivers aged 25 and over need to have held a full licence for 12 months.

What is the upper age limit to drive one of your vehicles?

This is now 75 for all vehicles apart from the minibus which is 69.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

We take a 50% non refundable deposit when booking any vehicle, the other 50% of the hire charge is payable when collecting the vehicle.

Is there an excess to pay if I damage the vehicle?

Yes there is an excess of £200 to pay if you damage the vehicle

Can I take a hire vehicle to Europe?

Yes you can with the exception of some EU countries. Please contact the office for further information on price and requirements.

What happens if I breakdown?

All WW’s vehicles are members of the National Transport Breakdown Services Ltd who are on call 24 hours a day to assist you. Simply ring the number displayed in your hire vehicle.

Do I have to return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel?

WW’s policy on fuel is like for like; e.g. collect with a ½ tank – return with a ½ tank etc.

Do you supply a sack barrow if needed?

Yes, (subject to availability) We can also supply blankets, ties/ropes, piano wheels and ratchet straps to help with your removal requirements.

Can I smoke in your vehicles?

From 1st July 2007, it has been against the law to smoke in virtually all enclosed public places, workplaces and public and work vehicles. There will be very few exemptions from the law. To comply with this new legislation WW have no smoking signs on the premises and in all our vehicles and ask all hirers to sign a No smoking disclaimer prior to taking the vehicle.

What type of van would I need to move house?

Most people choose a Transit Luton. It also has the added benefit of an electric tail lift to assist with heavier items of furniture.

I need to make an early start. Can I pick my hire vehicle up the night before?

Yes, you may collect your vehicle between 4.30pm and 5.30pm the night before subject to availability and return any time up to midnight on the final day of hire. Please note when collecting a luton, minibus, short wheel base or long wheel base van on a Thursday or Friday evening there is an additional charge of £20.

What documentation do I need to bring in when hiring a vehicle?

You will need to bring the following documents with you:

  • Driving licence
  • National Insurance Number or the 8 digit code generated from the DVLA website: www.gov.uk/add-driving-licence-check-code
  • Proof of address (utility bill or bank statement no more than 3 months old)
I have hired from you before. Do you keep my licence details on file?

No. We need to see the driver with their licence every time you hire from us please. Additionally, drivers also need to bring an 8 digit check code obtainable from the DVLA at www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence which now replaces the paper counterpart of your licence. Please still bring the photocard licence with you.

I want myself and another driver on the insurance. Can I bring their licence with me?

No, sorry we must see every individual driver in person with their licence.

Can I take my pets in the vehicle?

No, we don’t allow animals to travel in our vehicles
